- Established in 1989, INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE MARKETING LTD (IAM) is Ireland’s largest Air Cargo General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA), responsible for approximately a quarter of all freight from Ireland. Working on behalf of numerous world leading airlines including American Airlines, Etihad Airways, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways, IAM forms the core of an expanding group, which includes cargo trucking, handling and training divisions.
As the official Irish cargo sales, marketing, reservations and customer service office for all client carriers, IAM provides a vital local contact point for all Irish Freight Agents. Taking care of numerous reservations daily, IAM staff always work to ensure that all cargo booked moves as requested, on time and safely, to destinations around the globe. In September 2005, IAM broke the 1 million kilo per month barrier for the first time. Better still, to this day, IAM continues to break tonnage and revenue records on behalf of client airlines.
This success reflects the high calibre of carriers represented and the consistently high standards of service delivered by IAM staff. All aspects of cargo sales, trucking and handling are continuously governed by rigorous quality control systems. IAM’s ‘Flown as Booked’ statistics and road transport ‘Delivered on Time’ operates to a near perfect 100% at all times.
- IAM sales and operations staff are fully trained to handle customer requests on client airlines at all times. This process starts with the IAM direct sales team, who visit with Agents nationwide daily. Working closely with the direct sales team, friendly operations and sales support staff provide an ‘immediate response’ reservations desk from 7.30am to 18.00pm daily (including Saturday mornings). Where required, senior staff are on call for priority shipments over weekends. IAM and divisional companies remain open during lunch and all calls to the booking office are answered within three rings. IAM regularly conduct customer satisfaction surveys to improve service and efficiency levels. Marketing staff continually research international cargo traffic statistics, proactively matching airline clients to Agent requirements and coordinating IAM news update flyers, client promotions and national/international press coverage. Integrating these various elements, the IAM Group is committed to continued investment in technology regarding the total booking, tracking and accounting process.
All Group activities are managed from IAM’s modern headquarters located adjacent to Dublin’s trendy Smithfield Market and legal district area. This office also includes a modern presentation suite for the Translogic training operation.
IAM is committed to providing the highest standards of corporate governances and good business practice. Until his sad passing in Dec 2007, the IAM Board was chaired by Gene Fitzgerald (former Minister for Labour and Finance and past president of the European Investment Bank). Company Secretary, Michael Mohan, is former head of secretarial division, KPMG. The executive and non-executive management team possesses an unrivalled wealth of experience and are recognised internationally for their expertise.
Senior staff regularly attend major international transport conventions and are members of numerous pro trade associations. IAM’s senior executives have consulted directly on government transport policy.
